NEXT

Let’s talk about what you need to have completed before you are scheduled for training.

» CDL Permit

» DOT Physical

  • Obtaining your CDL Permit will require completing a written test at your local drivers license location. It is important to begin studying for the test as soon as possible. There are training and testing materials for each state available in print or online.
  • Reach out to your drivers license testing center about scheduling an appointment to take your written test for your permit. You will need to have your CDL Permit in hand to begin the CDL Training program.
  • In most cases, you will need to get your DOT physical prior to testing for your CDL Permit (don't put off studying for your permit though). Schedule your appointment with a DOT approved physician.

Please note that drug testing will be required and include both urine and hair follicle testing.
